Resumen: |
This new, revised edition of my textbook of Organic Chemistry closely follows, in the sequence and presentation of the subject-matter, the lines of previous editions. Every chapter has, however, been the subject of careful scrutiny and revision; where necessary, passages have been re-written to bring them into line with the results of recent investigations. The modern literature of organic chemistry has been taken into account down to about the end of 1945; it is, of course, possible that owing to the comparative inaccessibility of so many foreign scientific publications there may remain a slight omission here and there. The purpose and aim which led me to write this textbook have been kept in view throughout the later editions. |
