This is an introduction to economics. Ir is designed for a half-year or a fullyear beginning course, and for students who may or may not go on to do further economic study. Economics is an important subject. It is also an exciting subject. Being a professional economist, I naturally think this. But repeated surveys of opinion show that a well-designed economics course almost always scores near the top in any popularity rating, and very often in life you meet up with people who bemoan their regret that they never had the chance to learn economics. |
